Plant based diet in cancer prevention

by claire.lim » 14 Feb 2017, 16:01

According to American Cancer Institute for Cancer Research, a plant based diet can promote general well being besides lower cancer risk. In this model, fill 2/3 of your plate with plant foods such as vegetables, whole grains, beans and fruits. Fill the rest of your plate or 1/3 of your plate with protein such as fish, poultry, meat or dairy products.

So, I am vegan, have been my whole life, we have a cat, and since we already buy cat food for her, I used that as an excuse to buy more of it for my bugs. I really dont like it though, and want to switch my roaches to a plant based diet. The fruits and veggies I got covered, I just need a staple diet to feed them now, something cheap to get in bulk, something that has enough protein for them. I know a lot of people use plant based diets for their roaches, so, anyone got any tips?

We need to start a wfpb thread. Its funny that this conversation is attached to a plant based/vegan ketogenic post.
