Dear Melinda/Ms O,

HPV vaccination is first recommended for both sexes as early as 9 to 26 years old who have not been exposed to HPV.(CDC – Centre of Disease Control & Prevention guidelines)

However, studies suggest that HPV vaccines are effective in preventing cervical cancer for women up to 45 years of age. Therefore, women can take the vaccine up to age 45.
