Recently I've found a lump on my right breast and I’m afraid that it is cancer. What should I do?

Dear Claire,

Thank you for your question and I am glad that you asked. Most breast lumps are not cancerous or malignant and which are not harmful. The non-malignant or non-cancerous lump is called benign such as fibroedenoma or cyst for example.

However, you will need to see the doctor to have it checked out. Clinically, the doctor will do a mammogram, breast ultrasound and a biopsy if it is suspicious or necessary to establish the diagnosis whether it is benign or malignant.

Please do not worry at this stage but definitely a visit to the doctor is of utmost important.
Hope the best for you.
